The main reason we make activewear is to give back to others. It's not an afterthought for us, it's at the forefront of our culture, our designs, and our soul. The idea for Souglani, and giving back, came to our founder when she was on a 5-day hike in Peru. Everyday she would travel to a new village with her hiking group, and they would go to the market to purchase fruit for the children in the mountains. As her and the group were hiking, they would give the children the fruit, and every child's face looked like it was Christmas morning. Seeing the joy that one piece of fruit created in a child's eyes inspired our founder to weave giving back into what we do at Soulgani. Each sale gives back ten percent of net proceeds to the town, city, or village of inspiration. It's our way of showing gratitude for our places of inspiration, and making it full circle. Our culture, products, and overall company mission is to "Do Good. Be Good."
Current Charities & Towns We Give Thanks To:
GLOBAL BUILDERS PERU
Peru was where the concept for Soulgani was born. As a way to give thanks, each Twin Soul Rock and Strong Soul Rock legging helps provide bricks for building homes for families in Peru.
FOOD BANK FOR NEW YORK CITY
It was over a brunch in NYC when our founder and two girlfriends were talking about life and fashion, and where the Sexy Soul Diamond Mesh Pant concept was created. As a way to give thanks to NYC, and the spirit of good brunches, a portion of each sale of the Sexy Soul Diamond Mesh helps the Food Bank For New York City.
FEEDING TAMPA BAY
Tampa Bay is where Soulgani is headquartered, and where we designed and tested our our Second Soul Smooth Black Pant. A portion of each sale gives back to Tampa Bay, through the charity Feeding Tampa Bay.
SPACE FOR ART FOUNDATION
Our Universe Collection is a collaboration of prints taken from space by the Artist and Astronaut Nicole Stott. A portion of each sale from this collection goes to help provide art supplies to children all around the world. To date, we have provided over 100 art supplies to children in 4 hospitals.
